Dog Licensing

All dogs over six months of age must be licensed, and the license must be renewed annually. Annual re-licensing begins in January and are due no later than April 30th of each year. Rabies certificates must be provided at the time of licensing.

Licensing Fee

• Licensing fee per intact dog: $15.00
• Licensing fee per spayed or neutered dog: $10.00 (must provide a certificate of spay/neuter)
• Late fee (effective May 1st): $10.00

Licenses can be renewed by mail, online or in person at the Town Clerk's Office. To renew by mail, complete the dog license application and mail the following:

• Completed application
• Current rabies certificate if recently administered and not on file in the Town Clerk's Office
• Spay/neuter certificate if not on file in the Town Clerk's Office
• Check or money order made payable to "The Town of Oxford".  If spayed/neutered the fee is $10.00, and if not altered $15.00
• Self-addressed stamped envelope (SASE)

To renew your license online, please select the correct license type when you pay online. There will be a $.50 fee per transaction for electronic checks, a $2.50 convenience fee for MasterCard and Discover, and a $3.95 convenience fee for VISA.

Kennel Licenses are due by April 30th of each year.

Kennel License Fee

• 4 dogs: $30
• 10 or fewer dogs: $40
• More than 10 dogs: $50

Kennel Licenses cannot be paid online.
