Pond & Splash Pad

Carbuncle Pond and Splash Pad is operated by the Town of Oxford, Oxford Community Center, and the Oxford Recreation Commission. The beach has an address of 495 Main Street in Oxford, while the parking lot and Beach House are more easily located by using 12 Carbuncle Drive, located just before the High School.

Hours of Operation
  • The outdoor premises is open to the public year-round for fishing, hiking, and leisure. 
  • During the summer season, we are open daily from 11am-5pm (weather-permitting) with lifeguard staffing, concessions sales, and indoor public restrooms.
General Rules
  • Daily Passes for admittance can be obtained on-site upon arrival.
  • Season Passes are available for both Town-residents and non-residents, and must be purchased in advance at the Oxford Community Center located at 4 Maple Road.
  • Passes must be visibly displayed during your visit.
  • Children must be supervised by their adult caregiver at all times.
  • All guests must conduct themselves in a safe, courteous, and family-oriented manner.
  • Swimsuits and appropriate attire must be worn at all times. Swim diapers are required for children who still wear diapers.
  • Food and glass storage containers are not allowed inside the Splash Pad.
  • Climbing on the Splash Pad structures and running on the slippery surface of the Splash Pad is prohibited. Rough-housing and violent play is prohibited.
  • Athletic equipment, balls, bats, floats, swim noodles are not authorized in the Splash Pad.
  • Pets are not authorized on the premises.
  • Be mindful of inclement weather. The Splash Pad and Pond will close at the first sound of thunder.

Notice
  • The Town of Oxford reserves the right to remove a participant/spectator from the park for violating any of the above rules or engaging in illegal, disruptive, destructive, or inappropriate behavior.
