  1. DISCLAIMER ON RATES
    • As of January 8, 2026 the detail rate for outside contractors will be $70.00 per hour. A minimum of four (4) hours will be paid, and eight (8) hours will be paid after four (4) hours worked. Furthermore, when the detail work commences the number of hours originally scheduled will be utilized for the calculation of detail pay.
    • Time and one-half the applicable rate will be paid; 
      1. incrementally in two (2) hour minimums for hours worked in excess of eight (8), 
      2. any hours worked on Holidays 
      3. any hours worked between 5:00PM and 7:00AM Monday through Thursday, and the duration of the weekend from 5:00PM on Friday through 7:00AM Monday.  
      4. Any detail scheduled to start within two (2) hours of the requested start time.
    • In the event the requesting agency cancels the requested extra duty, as is specified in this section, more than one (1) hour, but less than twelve (12) hours, before the scheduled start of that duty, the officer who had been assigned to said duty will be compensated, by the requesting agency, for two (2) hours pay at the applicable rate of the cancelled duty.
    • In such case that said duty is cancelled within the hour before the scheduled start time of the duty the minimum of four (4) hours will be paid.
    • In the event the detail is cancelled after the requested start time, the number of hours originally requested will be utilized for the calculation of detail pay.
    • As of September 1, 2022: Cruiser Fee:   An hourly rate of $15.00 an hour will be assessed for actual hours deployed.  When available, a cruiser shall be deployed with the detail on all public ways for safety purposes.
