Project Name: Bonded Wearing Course FY2025 - Charlton Street
Project Description: The Bonded Wearing Course consists of a warm polymer modified asphalt emulsion bond coat followed immediately with an ultra-thin hot mix asphalt wearing course. The tack coat was spray applied immediately prior to the application of the wearing course to produce a durable wearing surface that can be opened to traffic. The finished surface treatment has a minimum thickness of 1/2”.
Project Goals: Provide a uniform cross section and profile on the roadway to the extent feasible, provide structural improvement, reduce wear & tear on Town’s fleet, and significantly improve rideability for all roadway users.
Location: Charlton Street from approximately 105 Charlton Street to the Charlton Town line
